The 100 Treatment Practicum forms the second part of the course, specifically designed to provide students with invaluable clinical experience by working on real clients. During this practicum, students will perform treatments on a total of four different models, each session lasting approximately 1.5 hours. These sessions are conducted under the direct supervision of a Senior or Professional Laser Hair Removal Technician, ensuring a high level of guidance and support. This hands-on experience not only enhances the students' practical skills but also boosts their confidence in performing laser hair removal treatments.

Provide proof of secondary education
(High School Diploma or GED Certificate).

Clear a background check.

Proficiency in English.

CPR Certified.

Senior Laser Hair Removal Technician Course

Licensing &
Certification

Upon successful completion of the Senior LHR Technician Course, students will be awarded a Certificate as a Sr. Laser Hair Removal Technician from Advanced Laser Institute. This certification will enable graduates to demonstrate their advanced skills and knowledge, positioning them as experts in the field.

To acquire a license as a Senior Laser Hair Removal Technician, an application must be submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) with an application fee of $100.

Registered Senior Laser Hair Removal Technicians must complete eight hours of continuing education every two years to maintain their registration with TDLR.

How to Upgrade License

To upgrade a license from Apprentice-in Training to Technician level, students must enroll in the 100 Treatment Practicum, which serves as the hands-on training component of the course. A separate enrollment form and fee will be required at the time of registration.

School Hours of Operation

Hands-on training will be held on Sundays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (See program term dates above). There will be a lunch break from 12:45 PM - 1:15 PM. There will be a ten-minute break for the last ten minutes of each hour. Lunch will be provided by the school.
