CLHRP 101 is a Hybrid course which takes place both online and in a face to face environment during scheduled meetings. This course of instruction provides training on the fundamentals of lasers with the application of both IPL and Diode Lasers. Online comprehensive lectures are followed by hands-on techniques allowing students to perform their first 100 treatments under the direct supervision of a Senior or a Professional Laser Removal Technician. In order to successfully complete this course, students are required to complete all lessons presented on our secure online platform within 30 days of enrollment, participate in short quizzes and discussions, and demonstrate proper laser hair removal treatment techniques.
After completion of this course, students will have extensive knowledge on how to safely and effectively practice laser hair removal using various devices for effective treatments. Students will be able perform skin analysis, determine treatment settings, identify contraindications, perform CPR, be responsible for maintenance of laser machines as a Laser Safety Officer, and provide Pre/Post care procedures.
Students are required to register with TDLR in order to be considered Certified Laser Hair Removal Technicians in the state of Texas. Students who are certified may work under the supervision of a Certified Laser Hair Removal Professional in several settings including, but not limited to, a medical spa or doctor’s office.
Individuals applying to this course are required to:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Provide proof of secondary education (High School Diploma or GED Certificate).
Clear a background check.
Proficiency in English
